Staying at the hotel felt like being in a castle from The Game of Thrones, with unique cottage-like rooms overlooking the park. The service was mostly great, but a negative experience with the night receptionist impacted our stay. The location in the Slieve Bloom mountains was peaceful and serene, perfect for nature lovers. The dining options were amazing, especially at the Dungeon Bar for seafood delights. Overall, a memorable stay with a few hiccups.

The hotel had a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were disappointing with loose tap fittings, a leaking tap, and being quite basic for the price paid. The bar staff were inexperienced, but the big bed in the room was impressive. The bathroom was spacious but lacked a comfortable temperature. On the bright side, the hotel was lovely, quirky, and comfortable.

My stay at this hotel was a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms were quite disappointing with loose tap fittings, a leaking tap in the bath, and a very basic setup for the cost paid. The bar staff seemed inexperienced, and the dinner menu was also very basic. On the bright side, looking out at the front of the castle added a unique touch to the experience.

I was completely blown away by my stay at this hotel. The rooms were exceptional with a huge four-poster bed, but it was a little stuffy at times. The service went above and beyond, especially when they showed us different rooms that delighted my girls. The location was just magical, set in the Slieve Bloom mountains with an ambiance that's different from the usual hotels. The dining experience was delicious, delivered to our room by the lovely, friendly staff. Overall, a truly unforgettable experience with some minor room ventilation issues.

The hotel was a mixed bag for me. While the rooms were lovely and exactly as I expected—large, beautiful, spacious, and luxurious—they were very sparse with no tea/coffee making facilities, no bottles of water, no air conditioning, no TV, and breakfast was not included in the room rate of €190. The service, on the other hand, was top-notch. The staff were so nice, accommodating, friendly, and welcoming at all times. The recent renovations really lifted the place with newly painted walls, layout changes, added furniture, varnished floors in the great hall, and modernized bedrooms. However, the price wasn't the most attractive feature considering the room amenities.

I had a unique stay at the hotel, feeling like I was in an ancient cottage rather than a castle. The large bathroom was a plus, but it wasn't quite the castle experience I hoped for. The staff was a mix of friendly and downright hostile, with memorable moments marred by some less desirable encounters. The location offered great opportunities for exploration and hiking, with a few standout experiences. Dining was average, with some highs in the Dungeon bar but also some lows. Overall, a memorable stay with ups and downs.

The service is friendly and welcoming, with some new renovations enhancing the overall ambiance. The location is lovely to explore but can add up in costs. The hotel room was very sparse with no tea/coffee making facilities, no bottles of water, no air conditioning, no TV, and breakfast not included for €190, but the toiletry products in the large room and stand-alone bathtub were wonderful. The bar area was cozy but a bit shabby.
